Formula 1 Media Centre Solar PV Design

This individual feasibility and design study developed a grid-connected rooftop photovoltaic system for the Formula 1 Media and Technology Centre in Biggin Hill. The proposed layout uses 262 monocrystalline 580 W modules for a total installed capacity of 151.96 kWp, while retaining roof-access routes and excluding obstructions. PVGIS modelling predicted approximately 132,904.52 kWh of annual generation. Using a planning-level installed cost of £121,568 and the stated electricity tariff produced an indicative simple payback period of 3.43 years.
